Follow all the rules = results
Miss a rule here or there = no results
BUT life is not linear and food & nourishment is about more than rules. If you adhere to the rules and miss out on all your life is that a sustainable lifestyle change? If you break a rule here or there (you little rebel, I like you ) then you’re doomed. AND add to that that food & nutrition isn’t just about eating to keep you alive. Nourishment is about more than just food and food is about more than just what your body needs.
You are more than a set of rules.
AND how you eat is about more than simply a set of arbitrary rules.
Add to that that people might just yell CALORIE DEFICIT, STOP EATING SO MUCH AND MOVE MORE and whilst that can be crux of it, again, it’s not that simple. We are multi faceted, epic people. The response can be
- WTAF does a calorie deficit even mean
- How do I know if I’m in one
- What happens is my days are different and some days I eat more? Am I doomed?
- What if life throws a curve ball
- I don’t even want to count calories
- It’s too complicated
- Are you on a diet, again?!?!
JUST FOLLOW THE RULES
Again, we get back to rules.
Expecting life to linear and every day to be the same. Add to that that often people are trying to hit these rules and have a food intake equivalent to that which is recommended for a toddler – no wonder it’s tricky.
Your nourishment should be nourishing, be part of your life, not be restrictive and not have arbitrary rules. It should be choices, it should be yummy, it should be understood.
That’s my aim! That’s what I want to help you with!
You’re more than
> a diet plan
> your gravitational pull to the earth
> your body composition
> your job title
> your roles in the world
Yup, you can change your nutrition and feel a shit tonne better, lose weight, get healthier without the rules and mental anguish.

So perhaps it’s not about blindly following a structure that’s one size fits all. I was completely empowered to change my whole approach to nutrition by learning about nutrition, shifting my mindset and changing my life.
